DePuy Seeks to Have $8.3 Million Dollar Verdict Vacated Due to “Plainly Inconsistent” Jury Verdicts
On April 17, 2013, DePuy Orthopedics filed a motion to overturn Kransky’s multi-million dollar judgment, stating the jury’s findings regarding the alleged design defects and failure to warn lacked consistency. DePuy believes the verdict warrants judgment notwithstanding the verdict or an entirely new trial.

The First DePuy ASR Trial: Kransky v. DePuy
The first DePuy ASR hip implant trial began on January 25th in the California Superior Court in Los Angeles County. The case, Kransky v. DePuy, revolves around Loren Kransky, a 65-year old man who received a DePuy ASR hip implant in 2007 and was forced to undergo revision surgery just five years later, in 2012.
